25 May 2026: Finding Strength in the Lord

Reading: Ephesians 6:10-13; Philippians 4:13

Devotional: Paul's exhortation to "be strong in the Lord" isn't a call to self-effort but an invitation to divine empowerment. The Greek word endunamoo means to be invigorated, to receive strength from an outside source, to be empowered. Like Paul chained to a Roman guard yet filled with holy vigor, we too can access supernatural strength through Christ. Our human effort is inadequate, but God's power is invincible. When you feel weak today, remember: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Your weakness becomes the perfect canvas for God's strength to be displayed. Surrender your inadequacy and allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with His mighty power.

Reflection: Where do you feel weakest today? How can you invite God's strength into that specific area?

26 May 2026: The Belt of Truth and Breastplate of Righteousness

Reading: Ephesians 6:14; John 14:6; 2 Corinthians 5:21

Devotional: Satan's primary weapon is deception—lies that sound like truth. The belt of truth isn't just knowing facts about God; it's knowing Jesus, who IS the truth. This truth holds everything else together, just as a Roman soldier's belt secured his armor. The breastplate of righteousness protects your heart from the enemy's accusations. When Satan whispers that you're unworthy, remember this: You wear Christ's righteousness, not your own. God has clothed you in robes of righteousness through Jesus. Your identity is not based on your performance. It’s based on His finished work. Stand firm in this truth today, letting it guard your emotions and self-worth against every lie.

Reflection: What lies have you been believing about yourself? Replace one lie today with God's truth about your identity in Christ.

27 May 2026: Shoes of Peace and Shield of Faith

Reading: Ephesians 6:15-16; Romans 10:15; Hebrews 11:6

Devotional: The gospel of peace equips you. It makes you ready. Ready for what? Not to fight others, but to share Jesus boldly. Your feet should be ready to take those five, fifteen, or twenty-five steps across the room to speak hope into someone's darkness. The shield of faith extinguishes the enemy's flaming arrows—doubts, temptations, accusations. When fiery darts come, lift your shield. It’s in the midst of the attack that we need Faith the most. This is how we trust God in the midst of the battle. Like Roman soldiers standing shield-to-shield, you're not fighting alone. The body of Christ surrounds you. Take courage today—step forward in peace, stand firm in faith.

Reflection: Who has God placed on your heart to share His peace with? What step of faith is God asking you to take today?

28 May 2026: The Helmet of Salvation and Sword of the Spirit

Reading: Ephesians 6:17; Matthew 4:1-11; Philippians 4:8

Devotional: The helmet of salvation protects your mind—your thoughts, beliefs, and mental battles. Paul reminds us we have "the mind of Christ." When Jesus faced Satan's temptations, He wielded the sword of the Spirit—God's Word. Not His own wisdom, but "It is written..." This is our only offensive weapon. Memorizing Scripture equips you for battle. When temptation strikes, speak the Word. "Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee." Fill your mind with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Your thought life determines your spiritual victory. The battle is won or lost in the mind. Guard it with salvation's assurance and arm yourself with Scripture.

Reflection: Memorize one verse today that addresses your greatest area of temptation. How can you renew your mind with God's truth?

29 May 2026: Prayer and Your Ambassador Calling

Reading: Ephesians 6:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; James 4:7-8

Devotional: Paul, imprisoned yet powerful, requested prayer for boldness to proclaim the gospel. Praying "at all times in the Spirit" means constant communion with God, Spirit-led intercession for the saints, and supplication for courage to be Christ's ambassadors. You have been recruited to play a part in God's reconciliation mission. When someone's name suddenly comes to mind, pray immediately. Join us for Wednesday night prayer meeting. Corporate prayer unleashes divine power. You're not just fighting for yourself—you're standing with brothers and sisters. As Christ's ambassador, represent Him faithfully. Draw near to God through prayer, resist the enemy, and watch him flee. Your witness depends on your prayerfulness.

Reflection: Who can you commit to pray for daily this week? How can you be a bolder ambassador for Christ in your everyday life?
