Reading: Ephesians 2:1-5
Devotional: Ephesians 2:1-7 is one long sentence in Greek. In the first half of the sentence, Paul describes our situation: We were spiritually dead, trapped in patterns of sin and rebellion, breathing in pollution and exhaling disobedience. We consumed what the world offered and produced only more brokenness. But the sentence turns on two powerful words: "But God." Our past does not define our future because God is rich in mercy and great in love. He didn't wait for us to fix ourselves. While we were still dead in our sins, He made us alive with Christ. This is pure grace—unearned, undeserved, unstoppable.
Reflection: What "dead" areas of your life has God brought to life. Where do you still need His resurrection power?
Reading: Psalm 103:8-14
Devotional: Most of the gods of Paul's day were transactional, vindictive, and distant. But our God is fundamentally different. He is slow to anger, abounding in mercy, with compassion that never runs dry. His mercies are new every morning—you cannot exhaust them. This isn't a god keeping score or waiting to punish you. He doesn't treat us as our sins deserve. Instead, He removes our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. Stop approaching God like a business transaction where you must earn His favor. He offers only grace, only mercy, only love.
Reflection: What would change in your life if you truly believed God's posture toward you is one of compassion, not condemnation? Let this truth reshape how you pray, confess, and live today.
Reading: Philippians 4:8-9
Devotional: We are what we consume. Like breathing, we inhale ideas, images, voices, and stories—then we exhale actions, words, and attitudes. Is what you’re breathing in healthy? The apps, news feeds, and voices you allow into your mind shape what comes out of your heart. Paul urges us to focus on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Examine the fruit your consumption produces: Are you becoming more patient or more anxious? More loving or more judgmental? More hopeful or more fearful? God invites you to a different way of living—not conditioned by your physical desires or cultural pressures, but transformed by His Spirit.
Reflection: Today, take an audit what you're consuming and ask God to help you breathe in His truth.
Reading: Ephesians 2:6-7; Colossians 3:1-4
Devotional: You are not just saved from something; you are saved for something. Paul says we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. This is not a statement about escapism, but about identity. Just as Jesus was fully God and fully human, the place where heaven and earth meet, we now carry that same reality. The Spirit of God dwells in you, making you a living temple where heaven touches earth. You are meant to demonstrate God's incredible grace to a watching world. This isn't about perfection; it's about presence—God's presence in you, shining through you. You are His masterpiece, created to do good works He prepared in advance.
Reflection: How can you live from this seated position of authority and identity today? You are not waiting to become someone—you already are a light in the darkness.
Reading: Matthew 5:14-16; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20
Devotional: God saved you so He could point to you as an example of His grace. Let that sink in. Your life is meant to be a display of God's kindness, mercy, and love. Not because you're perfect, but because you've been transformed. We don't reflect a blend of culture, tradition, and religion—we reflect Christ Himself. Jesus said we are lights set on a hill, ambassadors of reconciliation. The world needs to see God's character through how we love, forgive, show patience, and extend grace. Your purpose is not to condemn the world but to love it as God does.
Reflection: Where are you reflecting judgment instead of mercy? Division instead of reconciliation? Fear instead of love? Ask God to help you become a clearer reflection of who He truly is.
