01 June 2026: Adopted into God's Family

Reading: Ephesians 1:3-8

Devotional: Before the foundations of the earth were laid, God had you in mind. You were the focus of His love. He didn't reluctantly accept you; He took great pleasure in planning your adoption into His family through Jesus Christ. This wasn't an afterthought—it was His eternal design. Allow this truth to sink deep into your heart: you are chosen, loved, and wanted. God's kindness toward you is so rich that He purchased your freedom with the blood of His Son. You don't need to earn His favor or prove your worth. You are already His beloved child, showered with grace, forgiveness, and wisdom.

Reflection: How does knowing you were chosen before creation affect your sense of identity and worth today?

02 June 2026: Resurrection Power

Reading: Ephesians 1:15-23

Devotional: The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to you. Think about that. The force that conquered death, that seated Jesus at God's right hand above every authority and power—that same might is working in you right now. You aren't facing life's challenges in your own limited strength. God's Spirit is moving within you, deeply and gently, not by pushing you around or threatening you, but by working from the inside out. When you feel powerless against circumstances, remember: you have access to resurrection power. You are part of Christ's body, and He fills all things everywhere with Himself—including you.

Reflection: Where in your life do you need to trust God's resurrection power, rather than relying on your own strength?

03 June 2026: We Are the Temple

Reading: Ephesians 2:19-22

Devotional: You are not just visiting God's house—you ARE God's house. Together with other believers, you form a holy temple where God's Spirit dwells. This is revolutionary. God doesn't live in buildings made of stone. He lives in you. Your body, your life, your everyday moments—these are sacred spaces where heaven meets earth. This means your workplace is a temple. Your home is a temple. Your conversations are temple worship. When you love sacrificially, forgive genuinely, and serve humbly, you become a living demonstration of God's presence in the world. You don't need to go somewhere special to meet God. He has made His home in you.

Reflection: How does viewing yourself as God's temple change the way you approach your daily activities and relationships?

04 June 2026: Imitating God Through Love

Reading: Ephesians 5:1-2

Devotional: Children naturally imitate their parents—not out of fear, but out of love. As God's dear children, we're called to imitate Him by living a life filled with love. But what does that look like? Jesus showed us: He offered Himself as a sacrifice. Surrendering to Love means we stop living according to our own human frailty. It means laying down our lives for others. This contradicts everything our culture teaches about protecting ourselves and getting what we deserve. Yet this self-giving love is the only way to truly live like Jesus. When we put others first—in our marriages, families, workplaces, and communities—we create a pleasing aroma to God. Our behavior becomes an act of worship.

Reflection: Who in your life is God calling you to put before yourself today? What would that sacrifice look like practically?

05 June 2026: Mutual Submission and Unity

Reading: Ephesians 4:1-6

Devotional: God is on a mission to reconcile everything—to bring unity where there is division. And we get to participate in this beautiful work. One of the ways we do this in relationship is through mutual submission. This is incredibly difficult, especially in a culture that celebrates independence and fighting for our rights. But Paul's message is clear: stop fighting each other. Stop insisting on your own way. Lay down your life. Let the Spirit work in you deeply and gently to create unity. This doesn't mean tolerating abuse or abandoning the truth. It means choosing humility over pride, peace over conflict, and others over self. When we submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, we become living proof that God's reconciling power is real.

Reflection: What conflict in your life needs the healing power of mutual submission? How might God be inviting you to lay down your rights for the sake of unity?
